Overall responsibility for the implementation of the Environmental policy,
and for the management of the Environmental aspects of the site lies with the General Manager.
|
| |
This is achieved by ensuring that environmental issues are totally
integrated with all business decision making from initial product development through capital expenditure,
purchasing, engineering, manufacturing, delivery and service to product and waste disposal.
|
| |
To demonstrate this level of commitment
CarnaudMetalbox Engineering will: |
|
|
- Identify, monitor, control and improve the impacts of its activities and associated hazards
through the setting and reviewing of policies, objectives, targets and action plans.
- Measure its environmental performance.
- Maintain an Environmental Management System, which will continually improve it's
environmental performance and prevent pollution.
- Seek to reduce energy consumption and minimise waste.
- Re-use materials and resources wherever possible.
- Comply with all applicable legal, industry and other requirements as well as any
concerns expressed by interested parties.
|
| |
Understanding of, and compliance with, the Policy by all employees, both permanent
and temporary, is achieved by training and communication.
